About the Role 

Nevins & Associates is a boutique PR agency based in Bel Air seeking a creative, reliable content collector to capture social media video content for our regional clients across a wide range of industries. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out in the field, understands social media trends, and can spot great content opportunities in real time.

​

You’ll travel locally to client locations and use your own smartphone to record short-form video content designed for platforms like Instagram Reels and Facebook. In addition to capturing footage, you’ll contribute ideas and suggestions to help elevate each client’s social media presence.

Key Responsibilities 

• Travel to regional client locations to capture social media video content using their own smartphone (ideally an iPhone 14 Pro or newer). Nevins & Associates will not provide the smartphone.

• Nevins & Associates will provide a microphone set and other videography supplies as needed

• Film short-form videos such as behind-the-scenes, brief interviews, events, day-in-the-life, etc.

• Our team will work together to identify and suggest content ideas aligned with current social media trends and each client’s voice

• Regularly collaborate with the PR and social media team to understand content goals and priorities

• Organize and deliver raw video content promptly following each shoot. Editing is not required

• Maintain professionalism and represent Nevins & Associates positively while on-site with clients

Ideal Candidate 

• Experience or background in social media, digital marketing, and/or content creation

• Strong understanding of what performs well on social platforms (especially video-first channels)

• Understand the difference between optical zoom and digital zoom for content quality purposes

• Comfortable shooting high-quality video on a smartphone

• Creative eye with the ability to spot engaging moments

• Communicating well with clients (when on-site) and making light content suggestions on-site

• Organized, dependable, and able to manage a flexible, part-time schedule

• Willing and able to travel locally/regionally

Nice to Have 

• Experience creating content for multiple industries

• Familiarity with social media video trends

• Basic knowledge of framing, lighting, and audio for mobile video

• Prior agency or freelance experience

Internships

Nevins & Associates is looking for motivated college students for internships.

 

The intern will be asked to work remotely approximately 10 hours per week, with the schedule and duration of the internship to be mutually decided. This internship can qualify for college credit if arranged with the University by the student. A merit-based stipend may be provided at the end of the internship.

Responsibilities 

• Assist with developing, writing, and distributing approved press releases and pitches 

• Assist with content creation including social media copy and graphics 

• Assist with organization of client photos, bios, marketing materials, and videos 

• Assist with the planning and execution of special virtual events, as needed 

• Assist with list creation through media databases (Meltwater and Cision) 

• Assist with organizing media clips and preparing for virtual client meetings. 

• Actively participate in brainstorm sessions and staff meetings

Requirements 

• The internship application is open to currently enrolled college students with preference given to juniors and seniors. Previous internship experience preferred but not required. 

• Student should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Digital Marketing or Journalism (or equivalent) 

• Relevant coursework in the field of public relations, social media, or marketing. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written; familiar with AP Style 

• Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously 

• Graphic design, video content creation, and/or social media scheduling experience is a bonus. 

• The intern should be enthusiastic, professional, and eager to share creative ideas.
